Thanks

A few excerpts from athlete's e-mails-

- Hi Jason, Thanks again for spending so much time with me yesterday.  I really appreciate it, and got a lot out of it.

- Thanks again for all of your assistance.  I feel I have really improved since my test, especially in the race nutrition realm.  Haven’t had a bad race since the test, so I can’t complain!

- Thanks Jason!  ...I’m glad I came in for the test before the BB. I used what I learned, it makes a huge difference to have a plan. I think I might be ready to take it up a notch and stop being a slacker ;  )

- Jason, Thanks so much. I learned a ton from you. You should charge more!

- The testing has been great for me, I have felt great in the races since I have upped the intake, and I feel very strong all the way to the end of the race.  We really appreciate the time you have given us, and I think <name removed> is doing better as well.  He is really excited to have a direction to go after spending thousands of dollars to get no good results!

- Jason, Thanks for the feed back and I think these results will totally change the way I train and I will in return get me some better results.

- Thanks again for helping me to get so much information and doing the test with me.  It's great to know my numbers, although now that I know my LT is higher than I thought I have to work harder than before when training.  Darn it!!

- BPL is great.  Jason is very professional and highly in tune with the athlete's needs.  He goes out of his way to ensure he understands each athlete's situation and that the athlete understands how each test is going to benefit her/him in setting and meeting annual goals and in day-to-day training.  I would highly recommend performance testing by BPL for serious and aspiring athletes. - Toby Hemmerling, former team member of the Canadian National Mtn Bike Team

- As a happy birthday present, Tiff went in to get some lab testing last week with physiological guru Jason Smith of Boulder Performance Lab. Just to make his life difficult (we like to do that), Tiff had him work up some custom protocols, and as usual, Jason hit it just right. Since our races tend to be won less on VO2 Max and more on proper nutrition and aerobic fitness, Jason works perfectly with our needs to determine what's important, and what we don't need to worry about. He is great about discussing his test ideas with you before the test, and even better about discussing your results after the test and working with you on any questions you may have. Bottom line - Tiff is getting fit, so watch out ladies, (and guys for that matter!), she is coming for you!
And everyone should really get in to see Jason at
Boulder Performance Lab at Alta Physical Therapy. It is the best lab testing around, and available at a great price. It is amazing what we have been able to do with the data Jason has given us, and our racing has really benefited from what we have learned. Check him out, and go get your suffer on! It really does pay off! -Brooks Beal, Captain, GoLite Racing Team.

Jason Smith of BPL  is not just a smart guy who knows the ins and outs of physiology lab testing, he's an athlete just like you and me!  Together, Jason's athletic experience, educational background, and eagerness to please provide a very comfortable and enjoyable testing atmosphere.  Jason tailors the testing environment and testing protocol to suit your individual, unique needs.  One of the best parts of bike testing at BPL?  You get to use your very OWN bike and your OWN power meter (if you have one) during the test!!!  No more hassling with other labs' junky all-but-my-size "size cycle" huffy that doesn't have the glove-fit your own bike offers!!  Additionally, the power numbers you receive when you leave BPL will be specific to the power device you train and race on (no conversion guesswork required)!!  What I once considered to be a nerve-racking process, I actually look forward to physiology testing now because Jason is always as, or more excited about doing testing than me!  -Kirk Nelson, team Sport Beans/ NTTC
